From Chaos to Light
Nour Aouissaoui
Painter & Architect — Paris
The Exhibition
From Chaos to Light brings together paintings from Nour Aouissaoui's 2025–2026 series. Built up through successive layers of paint, gesture, texture and erasure, each canvas starts from chaos, not as disorder to be eliminated but as a state of possibility, and lets light emerge as a sign of renewal.
The series explores transformation and resilience: what remains, what disappears, and what can emerge from disorder.
The Artist
Nour Aouissaoui is a Tunisian contemporary artist and architect based in Paris. Born in Oman and raised between Oman and Dubai, she has also lived in Mauritius and Sicily, a journey across the Middle East, the Mediterranean and the Indian Ocean that has shaped her sensitivity to landscape, architecture, materiality and light.
Trained as an architect, she is completing a PhD in Architecture at Paris-Malaquais on the poetic and sensory dimensions of space. Her paintings emerge from an architecturally informed process of layering, accumulation, erasure and transformation, where matter becomes memory and colour becomes emotion.
